500 Card Club - We play at Rascal's in Apple Valley on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. We meet at 11:20 AM for lunch and play cards until 3:00 PM. All levels of players are invited. We learn as we go.

Book Group - If you enjoy reading, you will enjoy this group. Together we choose the books we are interested in reading for discussion. Whether you have read the book or not, we invite you to join us at 12:30 PM on the 4th Thursday of each month for a lively exchange of ideas about the book we have read. We typically meet at one of the Dakota County Libraries for our discussion (locations vary.) Additionally, we choose a restaurant nearby for those who would enjoy getting together beforehand for lunch and a social time at 11:00am

Bridge (Duplicate) - Duplicate bridge is played differently than party bridge. If you enjoy the game, you should give us a try. Duplicate Bridge is played the 4th Monday of each month at 10:00 AM at Casper's Cherokee Steak House. We will enjoy lunch around noon, and usually finish around 2:30 PM.. You may sign up to play at the general meeting or give the chairperson a call or send an email.

Bridge (Party) - We meet on the third Monday of each month at Casper's Cherokee Steak House in Eagan at 10:00 AM. We enjoy lunch while we play and usually finish by 3:00 pm.

Bunco - Bunco meets on the second Tuesday of the month at Ole Piper Family Restaurant & Bar. We meet at 11:30 AM, have lunch, and play until approximately 3:00 PM.

Crafty Ladies - If you like to do handiwork, bring along whatever you are working on: knitting, cross stitch, needlepoint, etc.and join us. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month between 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at a member's home. You can come and go and we always have a great potluck lunch.

Cribbage - The Cribbage group meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 10 AM - 12 Noon at Lunds & Byerlys, Eagan. All levels of players are welcome. Please bring a cribbage board and a deck of cards if you have them.

DAYCATIONS - Day-cations activities take place on the 2nd Friday of the month. Tours are taken of various locations in the metro area and occasionally beyond. The group enjoys learning of the history and background of these selected Twin Cities places.

Euchre - Euchre meets at Davanni’s, 1960 Cliff Lake Road, Eagan, on the fourth Thursday of each month from September through May. We meet at 11 am and play until about 2 pm.

Girlfriend Getaways - Traveling is an amazing experience. Every destination , near or far, can offer fun, friendship, and memories. The best part is, you’ll travel with like- minded women from New Sociables.

Golf - Spring and fall golf activities are organized on an informal basis for members. Both are a weather-permitting activity with no long-term commitments.
Spring will start the first or second Thursday in May. It is on a sign-up basis week to week.
A summer league starts around May 29 and lasts 11 weeks at Birnamwood Golf Course 12424 Parkwood Drive in Burnsville.
Fall play is by sign up only a week in advance. Starts in August after the summer league ends..

Happy Hour
Join us for in-person Happy Hour at a local restaurant the first Monday of the month at 3:00. This is your opportunity to stay in touch with friends you know as well as have an opportunity to get acquainted with some new ones. heART Speaks
heART SPEAKS recognizes that life is enriched and individuals are nourished by being surrounded by art in any form. We will offer varied opportunities to ‘appreciate and (maybe even) create’, be it through performance, gallery, music, or nature. As the group evolves, opportunities for hands-on activities will be considered, opening the way to other media, such as but not limited to textiles, glass, cuisine, paint and ink. Times will vary depending on offerings, though we will aim for Fridays if possible.

Lunch Adventures - Lunch Adventures meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. We travel all over the Metro area in search of unique and distinct dining experiences. Previous restaurants have ranged from All American to Ethnic foods, casual, formal, old favorites to new restaurants. Please join us for lunch and to get to know other members of New Sociables.

Lunch with the Bunch - Nancy Fossum , Chris Johansen & Marcia Moline
Each month, after the General Meeting, we go to a different restaurant for lunch. It is a splendid way to get to know each other better and try new restaurants.
Mah Jongg - Mah Jongg players meet twice a month at Ole Piper Family Restaurant & Bar . We play on the 1st Thursday and 3rd Tuesday at 11:00 AM until around 3 PM..

The Open Door (Service Activity)
The Open Door is dedicated to ending local hunger through access to healthy food.
Bring paper bags and egg cartons to the monthly meetings.
Open Door will also accept reusable cloth shopping bags that are like new, clean and with no holes or tears.

Out & About - Out & About recognizes the excitement of a member looking forward to an upcoming activity. This committee will offer a variety of activities primarily presented by our south of the river high schools, and will include theatrical performance, musical production, choral concert, even a speech team performance. Dates and time will vary depending on the activity. Signup is not required.

Jack Benny’s Not 39 Anymore
Service/Volunteering - Feed My Starving Children- Volunteers from New Sociables join other volunteers at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan every 2nd Monday of the month from 9:00 - 10:45 AM. We hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children throughout the world. There are "sit-down" jobs if you are unable to stand for long periods of time.

Share-A-Recipe - Join us for great food and conversation on the 4th Wednesday of the month at noon in a member's home. The hostess provides the dinnerware and coffee. Guests are asked to bring a favorite dish to share and the recipe. To receive a copy of all the recipes, bring a stamped self-addressed legal sized envelope to the luncheon and 50¢ to cover the cost of the copies.

“Sole Sisters” Walking Group -Walks will be held twice a month: the first Friday and the fourth Tuesday. Walk locations may include city, regional and state parks, indoor shopping malls, and historic neighborhoods. Some of the walks will be considered “walking tours,” with Lori providing commentary about interesting places, buildings or historic events the group passes while walking. Examples of such walks could include the “Mansions of Summit Avenue,” the “Haunts and Houses of F. Scott Fitzgerald,” “Lowertown St. Paul,” “Northeast Minneapolis,” “Franklin Avenue,” the “University of Minnesota Campus,” the “State Capitol grounds” and so many more.

Trekkers - Trekkers is a year-round hiking/snowshoeing activity group dedicated to getting out into the beautiful woods and prairies around the Twin Cities area. Treks are planned twice monthly on unpaved trails in state, county and local parks. Outings are generally 2-4 hours. Days and times vary depending on season, weather, and schedules.

WOW - Women on Wheels - Biking 15 to 20 miles on trails in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas, we start biking early spring whenever weather permits and we continue to bike on Wednesday mornings into the fall until weather no longer allows us on the trails. It’s official - WOW will resume in April. Sign up to receive email notice of days, times and locations. All levels of biking ability are welcome.
